I can't believe I've been away for so long! This is 2020 and the last post was in 2015! Wow! I was just browsing through twitter and I stumbled upon a message from someone about one of the blog pages I've been hoarding and voila, up came this page. Is it too late to revisit blogging? I wouldn't know until I give it a shot. So here I am writing another post after 5 long years of silence. Then they were two and now they are 4.
There is quite a lot to share. Where do I start? The perfect place to start is what is happening now. We are in the middle of a pandemic. Coronavirus disease or COVID19. It's got flu-like symptoms but spreads faster than the healthcare system can cope with. A lot of countries either on full or partial lockdown. We're on a partial lockdown (only a few states) though the cases are rising and we're looking at a total lockdown pretty soon. Schools have closed, religious and social gatherings canceled, businesses shut down and in the middle of all these, oil prices are dropping. Sometimes it's like I'm dreaming. Sadly, I'm not.
The kids, hmmm... Sometimes I wonder if they really understand what is happening. They know there is a disease in town that has disrupted life as they know it, beyond that, I assume they think it's just one big holiday. In all honesty, I have not asked their opinions or shared their thoughts. I have just been giving them lectures upon lectures about the disease, social distancing, and hand washing. I'll have to correct that. It's not been easy to cope with the kids and trying to sustain my business. Now I have to home school while trying to come up with new ways of keeping myself in business. I can't wait for this to be over but while it's still here, I need to survive. I can just imagine what you'll be going through right now if you were here. You probably would have turned your house to s soup kitchen of some sort while worrying about your farm animals - the chickens, goats, pigs, and cows.😊
Fondly Yours,
Deeso Mama
